The project is to design a nursing apartment for elders above 70s and with existing planning. Hence a limitation to being creative as nothing much can be done. The main idea is to create a comfortable and warmth environment to the people. For this project my concept is to play around with vertical 'patterns' to create a minimalist design and play with modern metal cladding material and lighting and with a feature big spanning roof floating above the building. The project features 4 new malls inserted in between existing shoplots which situated in Malaysia. Each malls has its own theme and schemes which varies in colours and design approaches. The image illustrates the whole project from streetview. Starting from right( (green building) is the Food Chain, High Cat, Fashion Walk (local brand, health and beauty saloon, spa etc) and Cultural Arcade. A tryout for nightscene for University ShenZhen Foundation Lab. I don't think i get a good result on this. Mental Ray can be quite hard to get with photometric lights. So i used different methods (mr Omni with near and far attenuation) to achieve the overall lighting.
